A Place of Abundance

Hello and welcome to my home page. Have you ever wondered why God allows bad things to happen to good people? I think at one point or another we have all wondered that and questioned God. What do you do when something bad happens in your life? When tragedy strikes? When you’re faced with pain so great that it takes your breath away? You have one of two choices. One, you can turn to God. Allow Him to help you get through whatever circumstance you may be facing and ask Him to teach you and help you learn and grow through and from the situation. Or two, you can turn away from God. You can put up barriers around your heart and become bitter. We live in a fallen world and as a result there will be suffering. No matter what, circumstances will come up in your life – both good and bad. It’s how you react to the circumstances that matters. A life centered on God will carry you down any road God asks you to walk, no matter how difficult. We serve a sovereign God and He is always in complete control.

The main character in my first novel, A Place of Abundance, faces just such a crisis of faith. When faced with tragedy she must either turn to God or turn away from God. She struggles with how God can allow bad things to happen to good people.

The faith of the main character in my second novel, A Place of Acceptance, is tested as he has to learn patience and to trust in God’s timing amid the town turning against him for events that happened in his past. The characters struggle with God’s call on our lives to forgive and to offer second chances.

I pray that no matter what happens you will turn to God. I pray that you will be blessed by A Place of Abundance and A Place of Acceptance and that you will not only enjoy the stories but that you will take away truths from God’s Word that are entwined within the stories. God bless you all!
